November 10th

November 10th is not just any old day. November 10th is important in many ways. Not only is it the day before Remembrance Day, but it is also my Father’s birthday.

November 10th 2002 is the day I told my father I was pregnant with Evelynn. He always joked that was his best birthday present. I am sure I sent him for quite a shock…but in the end it all worked out.

November 10th 2008 was his last birthday with us. I think it was the best one I can remember. I went to visit him the weekend after his birthday. I wanted to spend his birthday with him last year. We had sooo much fun with him that weekend. It was a great time and such a good memory to have as one of my last ones weekends with him.

I am sure this comes as no surprise when I say…I miss you Dad. I would love to be spending this birthday with you. You would be 55 today. Too young to not be here. Too young.
