Library = fun

I know this is late but I haven't had much time to write. Saturday my computer was in use by the lovely April. She started her very own blog so I can bet she will be over very shortly to do another post. She really is an amzing writer and I am thrilled she has found an outlet she enjoys. I love to read her work and hope she will post some of her poems. awww creative April.
So...Saturday. Big day. Took Evelynn to the Library for the very first time. I knew she would love it and I was right. April went with us too and I think she had almost as much fun as Evelynn. We read a lot of potty books (as I really want this to be done with) and lots of animal books. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to going again with her. Nothing like a free outing. Evelynn didn't want to leave and was asking on Sunday if we could go to the library again. I think it was a big hit.
Saturday night after Evelynn went to bed April, Joe, Aleshia, Kenny and of course Sara was here. We played some poker and I totally kicked butt. The least likely one to win won. I was impressed and amazed at myself. Of course they will tell you they weren't trying but we know the truth. I am just a natural! hehehe
Played phase 10 which is an awesome card game. Aleshia brought it. I played it once before when i was pregnant so it was a while back. I quickly caught on and really had a blast! I hope we can play it again soon. This time finish it. Maybe this weekend we can get together and play. I sure hope so.
Ok..on to Sunday (this isn't taking as long as I thought maybe I will still be able to get to bed early....earlier) Well Sunday was not such a good day with Evelynn. I don't know if it is because she was feeling under the weather, didn't get enough sleep or because she is two. Let e tell you she was really really moody. I had to give her a time out for trying to kill the cat. I put her in her room and she really freaked out but stuck to my guns (which i need to do more often but it is really really hard) After that she did listen better. Until we went to Teppermans (I will get to that in a minute) We made some cookies which were fantastic! Loved them! I love to bake with her because it is so cute and something she really enjoys doing (making happy mommy memories) She ate a big lunch and had a tiny nap (only an hour I could have used longer) Watched finding Nemo and then Mommy (I) had the great idea of going to teppermans. I just had to look for a new couch. I found one! It is awesome. It is huge! It is sooo comfortable. Most important it was cheap. Only $450 for a brand new couch. I is a lazy-boy one too so the two end spots have leg rests that come out. I am in love with my new couch! well when we were at Teppermans it was hard to keep Evelynn still and holding my hand. She was pulling on my arm and falling on the ground and just being a real....
So I was not too impressed. I gave the Mommy look sooo many times I thought my eye would fall right onto the floor then and there and I could die of embarrassment. Well of course that didn't happen but I can tell you the embarrassment was there. It is done and over with now and I have a great couch. My friends no longer need to sit on the floor! (Yes my friends would rather sit on the floor then my old couch, thats how bad it was.)
Onto my least favourite day od the week! Monday. Work, work, work. Got it done and over with. It actually was a slow day which I was surprised about. Mondays are usually one of the busiest days. My parents had Evelynn from 12:30 on because Ann had the day off. So I drove to their house. Finally got my chilli dinner and Evelynn actually liked it this time. I loved it. My Mom makes the best chilli. I think Evelynn had a good time. They played outside a lot today and got super muddy. All kids love to get muddy. Good thing was her coat was washed when I got there. Good ol' Grandma! Evelynn didn't want to leave and actually wanted to spend the night. I don't know what would have happened if she was really to spend it..maybe we will have to find out soon. She is getting to that age I think and hopefully she will like to do that and not be any problems.
Well I really need to get some rest so until next time...
